I am a 17-year-old high school student who's always juggling a dozen things at once; and honestly, I wouldn't have done it any other way. My life is a vibrant mix of bits and pieces from my chaotic experiences. It is a mix of late-night study sessions, working out at the local gym, and discovering my boundaries.
If I had to use one word to describe myself, it would be "curious." It's more than just a passing interest; it is a fundamental part of who I am. My desire to learn and explore new, unfamiliar things knows no bounds, and it's this very eagerness that has shaped my journey so far. I am open to exploring outside my comfort zone, never passing up an opportunity to broaden my knowledge and, more importantly, to discover new things about myself.
One thing that has really defined me lately is my commitment to sustainability. It all started with a school science project on contaminated water, which led me down a rabbit hole of research. I had come to realize how interconnected everything is – from the food we eat to the clothes we wear – and how our daily choices impact the planet. I started with tips you see online, like refusing plastic straws and carrying my own tumbler. But soon enough, I found myself going even further. Now, I have brought my ideas to various conferences, and co-authored a piece that was published, spreading awareness to many others.
This journey has also led me to discover sides of myself I never knew existed. I am a huge introvert, but standing on the stage sharing something I'm passionate about has given me a newfound confidence. The process of meticulous planning and problem solving required to launch my small sustainable fashion operation has shown that I am more of a doer than I ever thought I was. My journey is a never-ending path, and I am excited to see where it brings me next.
